Wow! Wow! Wow! - It started with just an idea, Paul Kidley has raised worthy funds for many charities, but this one was very close to his heart. So between Paul Kidley & Bully (DJ) they both came up with the tagline 'Music 4 Mason' and so the charity event began. Paul had already arranged a date of March 24th for a charity soul music event, whereby a selection of dj's and volunteers got together and held a big soul night organised by Paul. The night was a complete success and a total of £8,473:37 was raised towards helping little Mason.
Under the title of ‘The Overdose Of Joy’ Paul, along side a support team offer their time from marketing events, behind the scenes working with top UK soul DJ’s to ensure the running of each event goes to plan. The backbone of the event is the persistency of Paul and his passion to make each charity event right and of course to raise the very much needed funds.
The Award
Sam Green, co presenter on their radio show on Sundays at 1pm (UK) Happily organised an award in form of a ‘gold disc’ on behalf of the dj team who felt it was a little way of saying thank you for the support that Paul has given towards the charities. As well as over 250 audience having a tear in their eyes, each DJ offered their thoughts and emotions about the efforts of his charity fund raisers.
The events, Originally starting its early days as a charity night supporting organisations such as Save The Children, Breast Cancer Research and more, have now quickly become a favourable event among the 30 plus.
The Overdose Of Joy Soul Nights are held at The Top Meadow Golf Club, where recently Paul organised a ‘Alldayer’ for two charities, The Indie Rose Trust and Joni’s Army and a watch out for the Christmas special.
